HG Lewis, my creator, read a series of books that Calos Castaneda wrote back in the 1900s. See. HG can read. Unfortunately, these books made HG think hard about reality. It wasn’t easy.

This explanation of HG’s thoughts takes some fluidity, so hang with me.

When in a dream, that is your reality. Everything in the dream is true. The disappointments are disappointing. The boredom is boring. And the sex is wonderful. Sometimes you wake and are thrilled to be out of the dream. Other times, you wake and want the dream to go on and on.

Your dreams are as real as this reality, but they aren’t very stable. They change no matter how much you want them to stay the same.

So, that’s dreams. How about this reality? How stable is it? I feel the need to slide into a story.

First thing in the morning, you look out of your kitchen window and see a Bambi fawn. The small deer is so young that she still has her spots. Incredibly cute. You immediately run to get your phone for pics, but by the time you get back, she’s gone. It doesn’t matter. You tell all of your friends about the small deer. On social media, you describe how cute she was and how you just wanted to bring her in the house, sit on the couch and pet her.

This deer is real. She lives in your mind, and she lives in the minds of all of your friends. She even has internet presence. You can all see her, admire her and want to meet her. You and your friends will hold that memory for years. There’s no more real than that.

Let’s go back to first thing in the morning, and you look out to see a Bambi fawn. You immediately run outside to see her, and she barks at you. It’s not a fawn, it’s just the neighbor’s stupid dog.

In the first scenario, the fawn was real, and she stayed real. In the second, she only lives as long as it takes you to get outside. Both of these are your reality.

I know what you’re thinking. If it was the neighbor’s stupid dog, then it was the neighbor’s stupid dog in both cases. In the first case, from your point of view it was a fawn and it stayed a fawn. In all of your friend’s point of view, it was a fawn. For every human involved, it was a fawn. She was real.

What you believe shapes your reality. HG wrote a book based on this. An Unlikely Warrior. BUY THE BOOK!!!
